Community Involvement

  • 2024, Ethnomathematics approaches in enhancing Mathematics teaching and learning in Khayelitsha schools, collaborated on the Dean’s project at the University of the Western Cape, led by Prof. Govender. Played a key role in developing educational activities and conduction workshops for teachers in Khayelitsha, integrating Ethnomathematics to improve Mathematics Education.
  • 2022, Indigenisation of the Mathematics, Sci and Technology Education Programme, participated as the co-researcher in this project aimed at analyzing indigenous artifacts and their application in the classroom. Contributed to developing strategies to enhance the understanding of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology through culturally relevant terminology and artifacts.
